Glex Energy 2.6.0 has been released!

Glex AS is pleased to announce the release of the next version of its leading Glex Energy software package. This 2.6.0 Windows release strengthens workflows for users by introducing the import and visualisation of surfaces, including shading and other options. In addition, new data sets such as geophysical survey areas (Norwegian Offshore Directorate) and coral reef locations (Institute of Marine Research) have been added to the wealth of public and third-party data already available. As always, other functionality improvements and bug fixes have also been made.

CTO Jørgen Engen Napstad says ‘The ability to visualise imported surfaces has been a prioritised request from several of our users and this development will allow visual integration with the many other data types we already have. Further surface functionality will follow in future releases as we work to meet our customers’ needs.’

Utilize Glex Energy in the upcoming NCS APA round

The timing of this release will strengthen support for NCS users in this year’s APA licensing round as well as applications for the two CO2 storage areas announced earlier this month.

The Glex Energy web apps are also under continuous development with new functionality being introduced regularly. Over the last couple of months, we have added powerful new Chrono- and Lithostratigraphy filters to the Relinquishment Atlas and the ability to filter for multiple companies in the Portfolio Map.

As part of the future development, we will focus on integration of prospect analysis functionality with the existing prospect inventory to enable users to work with their own data within the Glex platform to ensure integration with other public and third-party data.
